BAM Nuttall Ltd | Rail

Neary Rail were successful in being awarded a package to carry out civils and surfacing works on three platforms on the Blackpool Tram network for BAM Nuttall. The works, at Little Bispham, Rossall School and Stanley Road stops, comprised excavating and disposing offsite the existing platform tarmac and hardcore, cutting into existing surfaces to form a straight edge, applying two treatments of chikara weedkiller spray, supplying and installing a protective membrane board with taped joints, importing all new type 1 stone and resurfacing works.


Linbrooke Services Ltd | Rail

Neary Rail were contracted to rod rope and prove around 6000m of buried duct to three areas in and around Motherwell. Area 1 was approx.


Telent Technology Service Ltd | Rail

Following the installation of the new RETB system on the Far North lines in the Highlands, after the initial testing it was apparent that there were a few blackspots with coverage, Neary Rail secured the contract to return to three Stations to date. Lairg Station to install a new REB base, troughing,new galvanised handrails, new timber steps install and cable containment.


Network Rail | Rail

During 2016, Neary Rail successfully replaced life expired platform coping stones at 3 stations on the West Highland Line. Works at Garelochhead Station required 167m of coping stones to be replaced.


Metrolink RATP Dev Ltd | Rail

In order to provide a suitable primary cable route for the proposed TMS signalling cables, Neary Rail were engaged by Metrolink RATP Dev Ltd, to extend, double and bypass sections of the existing lineside troughing route near to Bury and Whitefield stops to improve the capacity. At Bury, 408m of new lightweight concrete troughing was installed along with a 2 track open cut UTX, 3 UTX chambers and a 10ft buried duct connection into the island platform.


Nottingham Trams Limited | Rail

Following an extended period of monitoring of the track transition slabs either side of a skew bridge near Wilkinson Street depot, it was decided that no further movement was occurring and that the track misalignment on the Southbound tram line could be corrected. Neary Rail first surveyed the site to establish the existing rail position and gauge, before returning on 3.
