Civils Works Mansfield Woodhouse Cycle Hub
B&K Property Services (EMT) | Rail
During Spring 2016 Neary Rail completed a package of civils works to enable B&K Property Services to install a new cycle hub and shelter at Mansfield Woodhouse Station for East Midlands Trains. The works carried by the Neary Rail team included erecting lineside fencing to create a high street environment for the works, carrying out all groundworks including setting out, reducing the levels and establishing adequate falls for surface water run-off, new lighting duct installation, the installation of retaining walls and kerbing to the perimeter of the cycle hub, modifications to the existing metal handrail and the installation of a permanent paladine fence, powder coated to match with EMT station branding.
Whitehouse Tunnel Brickwork Repairs

In Spring 2016, Neary Rail completed a package of brickwork repairs in Whitehouse Tunnel, near Beaconsfield. Using our in house bricklayers, working on midweek nights, 15m2 of pinning and grouting and 378m2 of pointing was carried out to the brickwork within the tunnel.
Traction Bonding Installation
Metrolink RATP Dev Ltd | Rail
Following the installation of the TMS signalling system on the Metrolink Altrincham Line, Neary Rail secured the contract to remove all redundant impedence bonds, install new traction bonds and renew the traction return cabling to the sub-stations on a 10km section. Neary Rail first carried out an initial site survey to verify the design and enable all bonds to be made up in advance of the installation works.
Whitefield & Bury TMS Installation Works

In late 2015 Neary Rail were successfully given a package to install all civil works relating to the new TMS Installation sites for Bury and Whitefield Stations.The works comprised of installing signal,ppi bases, cast in situ concrete bases for cabinets and trackside units, precast bases for cabinets, hardstandings,approximately 30,000 to 40,000m of various signalling /power/data cables, new earth pits, all new galvanised bracketry for Spas lights including drilling the existing stanchion masts.
Cabling - A160 A180 Immingham Bypass
OSL Rail Limited | Rail
Neary Rail were contracted to install over 7000 metres of new lineside cabling to enable OSL Rail to divert the existing lineside cables onto a temporary suspension bridge.This allowed the new bypass rail over road bridge to be installed over Christmas 2015 by Costain.
Metrolink Track Renewals

Following the successful delivery of a number of diverse projects for them in 2014, Metrolink engaged Neary Rail as Principal Contractor to deliver 4 x track renewal and re-railing schemes. QUEENS ROAD JUNCTION S&C RENEWAL Over a 52 hour weekend in October 2014, a CV crossover and turnout was reballasted and renewed.
