Whitehouse Tunnel Brickwork Repairs

In Spring 2016, Neary Rail completed a package of brickwork repairs in Whitehouse Tunnel, near Beaconsfield.
Using our in house bricklayers, working on midweek nights, 15m2 of pinning and grouting and 378m2 of pointing was carried out to the brickwork within the tunnel.
Outside the tunnel all vegetation was removed around both portals using a Road Rail MEWP and rope access techniques, before the behind portal drains were cleared and a new key clamp hand rail was installed to the access steps.
Minor brickwork repairs to the portals comprised 2m2 of re-casing and 25m2 pointing completed on the portals.
