RETB REB Base and Civils Works

Following the installation of the new RETB system on the Far North lines in the Highlands, after the initial testing it was apparent that there were a few blackspots with coverage, Neary Rail secured the contract to return to three Stations to date.
Lairg Station to install a new REB base, troughing, new galvanised handrails, new timber steps install and cable containment.
At Helmsdale Station works required some new troughing units to be installed along with a new earth farm.
Kyle of Lochalsh Station works required a new RETB pole /mast base, new duct route through platform, new manhole chambers install, new earth pit install and finally cabling.
Neary Rail first carried out an initial site survey with Telent engineers and designer over a couple of days to verify and identify the designs to be utilised were adequate for installation.
All works were carried out in house by Neary Rail over a series of dayshifts working ten days on and four off to meet the requirements of our client due to the location of works. Neary provided all safety critical staff including the RETB operator.
