Blackpool Tram Platform Works

Neary Rail were successful in being awarded a package to carry out civils and surfacing works on three platforms on the Blackpool Tram network for BAM Nuttall.
The works, at Little Bispham, Rossall School and Stanley Road stops, comprised excavating and disposing offsite the existing platform tarmac and hardcore, cutting into existing surfaces to form a straight edge, applying two treatments of chikara weedkiller spray, supplying and installing a protective membrane board with taped joints, importing all new type 1 stone and resurfacing works.
Approximately 90 percent of all materials removed from site were taken to be recycled.
All works were carried out on days, using in house labour with the exception of the surfacing which was completed by our approved surfacing contractor.
