Balfour Beatty | Construction

Works to provide access and enabling for the refurbishment/construction of a high voltage overhead power line at a site near Bristol. Works included top soil stripping, fencing and demarcation gates, construction of approximately 1km of access roads as well as construction of hardstanding, crane pads, and ditch crossings.


Coventry Willington |

Access and enabling works for Restringing and refurbishment of overhead power line refurbishment in the midlands, this project included the construction of multiple access roads across a number of small work sites for each pylon, with several Bell mouth onto busy roads. Enabling and access works also in included the installation of a number of ditch crossings, agricultural fencing, top soil strip, construction of access roads and reinstatement of these areas once the overhead line refurbishments works were complete.


Metrolink RATP Dev Ltd | Rail

The project involved preparing and painting 185 OLE stanchions on Manchester Metrolink, using ST3 preparation with single coat paint system.The stanchions varied from single poles, portal frames and lattice type structures, with approximately 20 different types requiring painting.


Scottish Power | Construction

A new build Substation for Scottish power, this project was delivered successfully by Neary Construction and included construction of around 40 RC foundations for 132/33kV substation equipment, construction of 2 x transformer bunds and around 120 concrete fence foundations and palisade fence erection. Further to this works included drainage works for both clean and oily water, Interceptor installation, troughing, ducting works as well as access and enabling, pathway installation and kerbing works.


Metrolink RATP Dev Ltd | Rail

The works comprise brickwork and concrete repairs to over 40 structures and platforms on the Metrolink network, between Altrincham and Bury. Neary Rail as were responsible for managing all aspects of the work including booking worksites, booking and taking isolations, arranging all TM and GMRAPs permits and supplying all safety critical labour.


Network Rail | Rail

Neary Rail recently completed 2 orders under our LNW Civils Framework to carry out intrusive hidden void investigation works at Cowburn Viaduct, near Edale and River Yarrow Viaduct, near Chorley. Network Rail supplied a desk top survey which had indicated that hidden voids may be present in both structures and therefore required an intrusive survey to be carried out by Neary Rail.
