Nottingham Trams Civils Works


During 2014, Neary Rail undertook a number of civils works for Nottingham Trams including fitting anti slip step nosings, relaying subsided platform slabs, installing new duct route and replacing embedded broken rails.

ANTI SLIP STEP NOSINGS
Replacement of life expired step nosings at 4 NTL stops with new yellow DDA compliant anti slip step nosings.

PLATFORM WORKS
Lifting and relaying subsided platform slabs on 8 NTL platforms. Works included lifting and rebedding manhole frames. All works carried on days with the platforms or stops remaining open to passengers.

BURIED DUCT
Installation of a new duct route and small hardstanding within Wilkinson Street maintenance depot to provide water and power to a tram cleaning station. Works involved excavating under asphalt hardstanding, concrete walkways and sidings.

EMBEDDED RAIL REPLACEMENT
Replacement of a failed transition weld with 2 new transition rails and FB closure within an embedded highway location close to Phoenix Park stop. All works completed within a 28 hour Sunday possession.

MINOR WORKS
Supply of a 2 man minor works team to undertake works such as improving drainage, repairing platform damage from a car accident, relaying flags in Nottingham City Centre.
