Neary is a specialist civil engineering and EHV power contractor delivering complex infrastructure works across the UK. We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Manchester-based team, responsible for managing tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission.

The role will focus on estimating and developing competitive, accurate tenders for EHV substation civils and high- voltage cable installation works, working closely with our commercial, operational and technical teams, as well as clients, suppliers and specialist subcontractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage tender enquiries and ITTs from receipt through to final submission.
Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and commercial requirements.
Prepare first-principles estimates for substation civils and EHV cable installation works.
Obtain and assess competitive supplier and specialist subcontractor quotations.
Coordinate queries, programmes and supporting documents with Contracts Managers and internal teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
5 years estimating experience, ideally within civil engineering, utilities or the energy sector.
Strong first-principles estimating and commercial awareness.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
Highly organised, accurate and able to manage multiple deadlines.
Confident communicator, able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
