Cable Routeworks
Installation of various types of route for lineside signalling, telecommunications and power cables including joint bays, inspection chambers and foundations for location cases.
Route type dependent on client's requirements and generally includes one or a combination of the following:
- Surface Troughs (Concrete, GRP, GRC) - all types with anti-vandal measures where specified.
- Elevated Troughs supported on purpose fabricated galvanized posts with facility to support single or double route.
- Buried PVC duct and inspection/ pulling chambers at specified intervals.
- Cable ladders, racks, tray and trunking secured to permanent structures using approved fixing systems with consideration of the load to be supported.
Under Track and Under Road Crossings

Design in accordance with Network Rail company standards and other relevant codes of practice. Construction in accordance with approved design during either possessions of the affected lines (UTX) or closure of the highway (URX).
Through our approved supplier database Neary Rail also have the capability to perform these works by trenchless technology to minimise disruption
to railway/ highway infrastructure.
Cable Route Protection Systems

Usually installed at vehicular access points comprising cast insitu concrete beams either side of service, supporting removable steel plates or hinged covers.
Each structure is designed and constructed to meet the requirements and layout of specific access points to ensure maximum protection of the services to be traversed.
Cable Installation

Supply and installation of signalling, telecommunications and power cable to all types of cable route detailed above.
Depending on cable type, access restrictions, etc, cabling may be undertaken using manual or mechanical methods.
