Neary Rail has been and continues to be involved with the nationwide Telecom Renewals scheme since its inception in early 2001.This program of renewals is expected to be fully completed by 2013.

Neary Rail continues to be involved in the program of improvement of Network Rails property in LNW Central and the Lancs & Cumbria Areas.The requirements at a particular site/ depot are discussed following receipt of an invitation to tender for the works.

The purpose of this scheme was to facilitate safe vehicular and pedestrian access to the future Network Rail Offices in the Square One building near Piccadilly Station.The existing access road to the eastern spur car park was to be reconstructed in several sections between Fri 1800hrs and Mon 0600hrs each weekend until completion, requiring consecutive shifts over the 60 hour period.

In order to increase the linespeed Neary Rail were invited to undertake such works as the delivery and installation of SPT, SPT walkways, the repositioning of existing signals, new cabinet bases both concrete and elevated.

Neary Rail has been involved in this scheme nationwide since 2001 performing associated civil engineering and cabling works on behalf of the main contractors.

It has been established for some considerable time now that the existing authorised access points which provide access to the infrastructure for maintenance and improvement works are in most cases unsuitable particularly for the purpose of undertaking significant engineering works.
